Fun in the Tub

The other night, Kenzie went to a play with the in-laws so it was just me, Doug, and Tucker at home. We decided to let Tucker do something a little out of the ordinary since Kenzie got to do something else. So I browsed my Pinterest board for the kids and found the idea to do colored shaving cream in the tub! And what two year old boy doesn't like to get a little messy?

He had a blast.

(Note: we only put him in underwear for picture purposes, or he would've been butt nakey.)

All we did was put the super cheap shaving cream in a tin muffin pan and added food coloring. We let him use a basting brush but he used his fingers a lot, too. Boom. A free "out of the box" activity to keep your kid entertained.

He even started to paint himself!

He loved it.

And it washed right off in the shower!!!

Let's take a road trip!

My best friend and I needed a mini vacation. 

And to any mom out there, you already know...a mini vaca could be a trip to Target by yourself.

We NEEDED to get away.

So we went

And it was fun.

And I want to do it again.

We went to Clarksville, TN for a wedding.

I don't think I've ever been to Clarksville. But I loved it! It's not as big as Nashville, but definitely bigger than Jackson. And it was so pretty!

My hair is growing! [yippeeeeeee] And I wore my fave scarf.

On the way to C-ville, we had to stop for some yummy drinks, via Mickey D's cafe.

I ordered my usual, Caramel Frappe.

And apparently, according to the rude girl behind the counter, the drizzle on top (which is obviously CHOCOLATE), was in fact caramel. 

Umm...right.

Well, at least the actual drink was Caramel. But there was no arguing with this lady. 

Whatevs. 

She better just be glad I wasn't picky!

When we finally got to Clarksville, we had some time to spare, so we decided to.......

you guessed it;

STOP AND GET SOME COFFEEEEEEEE!

We stopped at the cutest little coffee shop, Mag's Coffee.

Raven got a River Zombie. 

She's just awesome like that.

I was actually feeling kind of blah, so I didn't get coffee.

*GASP*

I know.

It was bad.

BUT, I did decide to get a Strawberry Banana smoothie.

And it was the best decision I have ever made my entire life.

For reals.

I didn't want to stop drinking it. (See pics below)

It tasted exactly like Heaven. If heaven had a taste.

Ya know.

The wedding was beautiful. 

I teared up.

Raven cried.

Eh, we're women.

We decided to take silly bathroom pictures.

Because this was OUR weekend and we do what we want.

Hmph.

I need to be a bridesmaid.

She's my only friend who would put me in a wedding.

So I need her to hurry up and get married.

It was such a fun weekend. 

I'm already ready for another one ;)

I love weekends:)

I look foward to Saturday & Sunday when I wake up on Monday lol. Now I love my kids more than ANYTHING in this world. Seriously. They are my loves! But....I also love when my sweet mother-in-law comes to get them Saturday nights. Now that I'm a SAHM again, I get a little stir crazy. There's only so much parks and crafts I can take in 5 days lol! But I suck it up and do it for the kiddos:) Because I know my weekend isn't too far away.

Last night we went to a friend's party. It was so fun:) 

Then today my best friends, Jason & Raven, Keith, Doug, and me, all went to the grocery store and bought enough food for a feast lol. I made pizza dip for an appetizer (which lasted about 2.4 seconds ha!) and cake batter blondies for dessert (PLEASE make these!). Raven made grilled peppers with Sweet Baby Rays sauce on them, a HUGE salad (that I'm sure only us girls will be eating lol), & sauted onions. The boys are grilling Italian sausage links, BBQ bologna, potatoes with onions and butter, and corn on the cob. Wow. That's a lot of food lol. 

My MIL is bringing the kids back soon and will be eating with us. I'm HUUUUNGRY! :)

Did I mention I LOVE weekends? :)
