November Sponsor Spotlight

Well, November has come and gone. But I am welcoming December with open arms! Christmas, school breaks, family time! Love it!

I want to take the time to introduce my amazing November Sponsor, Kaitlin, from Kaitlin Leigh's. She is super adorable and I love reading her blog. Head on over and show her some TN Honey lovin'. :)

ps- she has a SUPER cute Doxie, and we all know I love me some Doxies!!
Hi, I'm Kaitlin. You can find me over at Kaitlin Leigh's. I'm a typical girl, who spends all my money on Starbucks, takes an excessive amount of pictures of my pups , and attempts way too many Pinterest projects. If you love anything crafty, fashionable, or even have a bit of a sweet tooth, then come on over! I love meeting new bloggers, so please come say hello!
 Blog//Twitter

I asked Kaitlin some questions about blogging, too.

*What do you love about blogging?
I love that blogging gives me the ability to document and look back at all the memories I have made over my life.  Even though I'm fairly new to blogging, I have already met so many wonderful people and developed friendships just through writing and relating to others in the blogging community.

*How long have you been blogging?
I'm definitely a newbie to the blogging world! I have been blogging for about four months now.

*What is one thing that annoys you about blogging, if any?
One thing that annoys me about blogging is that when it comes to the layout, or codes, etc, I never really knew how to make or use them. I have had to teach myself, but it would have been nice to have someone show me how to use it along the way. Luckily, I have met some great bloggers out there who are willing to lend a helping hand.

*What is your favorite thing about Fall?
My favorite thing about the Fall/Winter has to be the adorable clothes you get to wear when it's cold outside! I love all the over-sized sweaters, comfy cardigans, and my boyfriend's hoodies that I get to bundle up in.

I have plenty of button swaps available! Just head on over to my Sponsor page up top!

Things I {don't} Love Thursdays

When Melissa started doing Things I [don't] Like Thursdays, I loved it lol. Ya'll know I love talking about things that get on my nerves.

So welcome to....
So let's get this started up in hurr.
I'm not sure why I felt the need to get ganster all of a sudden...excuse me.

1. Oxblood
People, people, people. Can we just say BURGUNDY?

 2. Winning ad space and NOT getting the shoutouts or blog love as a paying "customer" would receive. Why would anyone want to win ad space if you aren't going to promote their blog? They might as well just button swap for FREE! Rude.

3.  Buns. As in hair buns.
bun bun bun bun
Okay, so I do love hair buns. But why all of a sudden are they "a new fad"?
This is my everyday hair. Since 7th grade.
And the classic tight bun has never gone out of style...its a CLASSIC.

4. Pinterest.
As much as I love Pinterest, it has really corrupted people.
"Oh my gosh! That is the cutest idea ever!"
betch. We all know you got that from Pinterest. Don't play.

5. Speaking of Pinterest, you know what else I don't like?
When my husband doesn't laugh at everything I show him on my Funny Board.
Umm, hello? I'm hilarious and so are my pins.
LAUGH!

6. I also hate Mother Nature.
PMS

So there ya have it. The things I'm not liking today. Or everyday. Whatevs.
Be sure to link back up with Melissa!

I spawned awesomeness.

I know you've seen these faces around here before.

But do you REALLY know what goes on after the camera (iPhone) is put down?
Let me just tell you, it's just complete awesome.
"The shizz", if you may.

My kids are the most craziest, funniest, awesome, kids in the world.
Aside from your kids, of course:)

Here are some reasons why I love my kids other than the normal "because I gave birth to them".

*Kenzie is reading whole books now. She's four.
She literally carries a book with her wherever we go. And she is constantly reading all day long.
Note: "She get it from her Momma"

*Forget Dora and Elmo, Tucker loves Scooby-Doo and Transformers.

*My kids know all the top hits:

*On non-school days, my kids will sleep till 9:30 sometimes. (To all non-moms out there, anything past 7am is sleeping in.)

*They rarely ever take normal pictures...

 Buuuuuuut.
I guess they get it honest:

*When they DO take the rare norm picture, they are adorbs...if I do say so myself.

*My kids BEG me to watch Batman, The Avengers, and, be still my heart, Harry Potter.

*Kenzie actually gets to HELP her PreK teacher TEACH.
She's so advanced in her learning, that she gets to help the other children who aren't so fortunate. How sweet is that?

*The other day, Tucker told me he had a hexagon, a rectangle, and something about a prism.
A prism, people.
I literally had to Google it because, er, I forgot what a prism was.

Ok, I'm done bragging for the day. I try not to brag about my kids, because I really don't like to compare them to others or have other people get mad because they think I'm being a Miss Braggy Pants. That's not my reason for posting things about my kids...I just love them so much, I think the whole world should know them! :)

I'm late....

for my Influenster post, duh!

What did you think I meant I was late for?
Silly.

So I received an email saying I was chosen to be a part of the Beauty Blogger VoxBox for 2012. *insert happy dance*

I love trying new beauty items.
And you can't beat FREE testing, I'm I right?

I was very impressed with my box, give or take a few things.

1) Vitabath Fragrance Mist.

I received Green Tea and Sage fragrance from the Spa Day line. Let me just say first off, I'm not a fan of smelling like Green Tea. Drinking it, yes. But not smelling like it. From what I've read from other Influensters, Vitabath DOES have some amazing smelling mists. I guess I just didn't receive those...
I recommend Vitabath, just not Green Tea and Sage fragrance. :)

2) Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins. I actually just tried these babies today before class. And let me tell you this...if I can do this, anyone can. I'm hair helpless. But these little things are SUPER easy to use! And makes a super cute casual bun or it could be used for something a little more fancy-shmancy.
But I didn't take a picture! (Bad blogger)
I highly recommend Goody Simple Styles Spin Pins.

3) Kiss Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit.  I tried to put these on last weekend but I failed. I couldn't get the lashes to line up right with my own. But I'm just horrible with fake lashes. I'm going to try them again soon. I do like that they are not just for one time wear. And it comes with an applicator to help hold the lashes.

4) Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff. It's amazing. I have naturally curly/wavy hair, but I have to use products in order to make my curls more defined. NYM Cream is great for many reasons. It smells delicious. And it's light weight. It doesn't weigh my hair down with heavy product or make it all crunchy (yuck) like gel does. It also gets rid of the frizz! I didn't even blow dry my hair and it was so curly.
Please excuse the no makeup pictures!!
I highly recommend Not Your Mother's products. It's only $6, too!

5) EBOOST Natural Energy. I received the Orange flavor. I hate orange flavors. Therefore, I have yet to try this out. Here's what EBOOST is:
EBOOST is a boost that does more. It’s a mood boost, focus boost, immunity boost, natural boost, a no-crash boost.
EBOOST uses real ingredients, stuff you’ve heard of like Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Green Tea, Vitamin B-12 and Folic Acid. And the stuff you might not have heard of: Quercetin, 5-HTP, Resveratrol, Huperzine-A — it’s all good too. What could be sweeter than that? Well, we even sweeten our product with Stevia, a plant, not a chemical.
I just don't like Orange. Blahhh.
I might wait to use this on Black Friday LOL!

6) NYC (New York Color) IndividualEyes Custom Compact. This stuff is amazeballs. Seriously. It even comes with eye primer! AND it's only $5!! You can't beat that.
This product is made for different shades of eye color, to help your eyes "pop". Unfortunately, I was sent shades for "brown eyes" when I have blue eyes, but I still love the color palette. Browns and tans. It's what I use mostly anyways. The primer that it comes with is okay. I wouldn't say it's the best out there but for $5, you can't be picky. It does do it's job though. My eyeshadow lasted all day with the primer.

7) Bath & Body Works Mini Candle.

My scent was Black Pepper Bergamot. And it smelled like man. The scent was very powerful. I lit it in our bedroom because I did not want my whole house to smell like that lol. I think this would be perfect in a man room/bachelor pad. It did burn for around 15 hours though! The mini candles are only $3.50, so it would be a good idea to try them out before buying the big mamas. The 3-Wick candles are $19.50. They have plenty of scents to choose from, and I'm SURE something like Pumpkin Cupcake would smell divine!
Influenster and B&BW also sent me a $10 off coupon for a 3-Wick candle! Whooo-hooo!

And that's all folks!
I'm hoping to do more reviews in the future!

Beauty all around

Some days you just need to breathe.

Take some time and just look around you. Look at all the beauty.

Take this sunset for example.
Have you ever seen anything so amazing?
Something that stopped you in your tracks so you could run outside in awe?

I am bad about living routinely. I like routine and I like being at home.
But sometimes you forget that there is this big ole' world out there, just waiting on you to see what amazing features it has to offer.

Some days you just need a little sunshine, some makeup, and a shower to feel better.
And a four year old photographer.
It happens.

PS- Does this count as my first semi-fashion post? ;)

A Late Halloween Post

You guys.
It's NOVEMBER!
Where did this year go? Seriously.

But before I move on to November, I've got some October catching up to do!

I love Halloween. It's my second favorite Holiday. I love getting dressed up and letting the kids pick out costumes.
And we have our Annual Halloween party! Which is usually the best party of the year.

This year I was a cat.
I'm so creative.
Not.
Took me forever to make this tutu.
And curl my hair.

But I loved this costume:) I was super comfy and that's all that matters.
See: rainboots.

Douglas was a little more gruesome than a pretty kitty...

Eww, right?
Zombieeeeeeeeeeeee.

Halloween night we took these awesome kiddos trick-or-treating:
I mean, you really can't get much more precious than Skeleton man and Batgirl. Right? :)

They were so super excited. I think they love Halloween as much as I do.

I even introduced Kenzie to some awesome Disney Channel Original Halloween movies such as Halloweentown, Don't Look Under the Bed, The Nightmare Before Christmas (one of my faves), and Under Wraps.
Those movies brought back some awesome memories.

Oooooh. Look at our scary glowing eyes!!
