Weigh In Wednesday

First off, I have a question. The scale at my doctor's office and the Wii Fit board says I'm 10 pounds lighter than the scale in my bathroom. Which one do I go by?! I'm thinking the Wii board, for obvious reasons haha! But seriously? Which one?

On to the weigh in part.
Dun dun dunnnnnnnn.

I've been slacking in the calorie counting department, but I've not been eating as much, also. The past two nights, I've stopped myself before I'm miserable. Today I've been drinking water with lemon up until supper time. I had to have some tea.

So as of today, I weigh 212 pounds (according to my bathroom scale). That's 8 pounds down from where I started. I'd say that's progress.

I mentioned the other day that I bought Wii Fit. So I'm going to record my progress with that soon.

Stats
Height: 5'6"
Starting Weight: 220 lbs
Current Weight: 212 lbs
Goal Weight: 160 lbs

No fair my doc's scale is always like 5-10 lbs MORE than my home one! Dangit! You are making great progress! :) Keep it up!

Hey girl! The best way to see how accurate your scale is at home is by taking a 5lb or 10lb dumbbell (or both) and setting it on the scale and seeing if it comes out to being what it's supposed to say. The doctor's office is supposed to have their scales "measured" every few years so that it's reporting accurately.

I was going to say exactly what Taylor said. I do that to my scale at home all the time just to make sure!

My DR scale always says I'm heavier. How odd.
I really like Taylor's idea though-that's genius!!

And I'm proud of you!

I have two scales in my house and they both say something different - usually 2-4 lbs difference and no idea why. I usually go with the lower one for vanity reasons :)

What are you doing different? Just counting your calories? I am trying to loose weight as well (I mean, aren't we all?)but I am not having very good luck. I was doing super great and going to the gym three-four nights a week, before summer, and I have only been like twice since summer started. Not good! How do you like the Wii Fit? I have thought about trying that, but I don't want to buy it, if I know that I am not really going to do. What other things are you trying? I am always open to ideas/suggestions...I have found that if you have some to keep you accountable, you do better; well at least that goes for me. Good luck! And I look forward to hearing more about your journey. :)

Betsy Lynn, I couldn't find a way to email you back so I'll just post here and hope you see it:)

I'm actually not doing much at all! I'm drinking lemon water (because I can't stand plain water) all day. Sometimes I'll have a glass of sweet tea for dinner, but I'm not drinking it all day like I use to. I also count calories. That seems to help a lot because I'm actually noticing what and how much I'm eating. The Wii Fit is pretty good. My favorite is the Yoga. It does get a little boring at times, but I'm sticking with it for the most part. I'm trying to do 30 minutes a day, at least 4 times a week. I'm cooking healthier, too. If something calls for sour cream, I use Greek Yogurt. It's the little things that really add up! I've already gotten used to cooking better and drinking water all day! Good luck to you! I'm no expert, but I do know that a support system is nice to have, so if you ever want to talk or need advice, you can always email me! :)
